Technical specification : (Thermo Scientific Tramp Metal Detector, Ramsey Oretronic III Model TMD1400 To protect conveyors and crushing machines in general. The TMD detects with high reliability the presence of all types of magnetic, amagnetic, ferrous and non-ferrous tramp metals and scraps (i.e. bucket teeth, manganese steel montles, etc.) found in bulk material travelling on belt conveyors. Sensitivity (minimum size) on Thermo Ramsey approved installations: iron sphere, 25 mm diameter. For metals with magnetic and conductive characteristics different by iron (i.e. AISI 301 and AISI 310) sensitivity (minimum size) can be higher or lower (depending by tramp characteristics) and will be tested only during start up. Sensitivity depends by location and ambient conditions. System for belt width: 1400 mm. System composed by: - reinforced fiberglass supports; - generator coil sealed into polypropylene, IP56 protection degree (NEMA 4); - receiver coil sealed into polypropylene, IP56 protection degree (NEMA 4); - junction box, IP55 protection degree; - microprocessor control unit, Model 30-200. Maximum distance between coils and control unit: 15 m, when using the JB descript above. Control unit's main characteristics: - field mount plastic housing, reinforced with fiberglass, IP66 protection degree (NEMA 4X); - power supply 110/220 Vac, 50/60 Hz, 30 VA; - n.1 alarm output; - n.1 time delay output (front panel selectable time delay 0,1÷9,9 sec); n.1 serial output RS485. Working temperature: - supports: -20° ÷ +80°C; - coils: -20° ÷ +60° C; - control unit: -40° ÷ +50° C.)
